E-motions

Are there good and bad feelings? How can we take care of our children’ emotional development? Miniperformances based on the contemporary books for children, workshops for children and a meeting with psychologist – this is our idea to connect theatre, literature and psychological education to help in upbringing. E-motions is a series which by using a valuable literature for children and theatre supports emotional development of children. There are three episodes: „E-motions: about conflicts”, „E-motions: about politeness” and „E-motions: about loss”.

As two drops of water by Vanessa Simon Catelin is a light humorous story about important issues. In an accessible way it tackles difficult subjects like intolerance, fear of unknown, stereotypical thinking and shows the consequences of them. In a simple way it reveals how the conflicts are created.

What does it mean to be polite and can it be dangerous? Gro Dahle and Svein Nyhus book’s heroine – Lusia – never talks when not asked, she is so polite, diligent and quiet that one day she disappears…

Is talking about loss necessary? And if so, how can we talk about it? In the third episode of our series we decided to cover a difficult subject, but which during the pandemy became even more important.
