The performance is inspired by legends about selkies – mysterious figures appearing in the mythologies of northern coastal countries, who can change from a human into a seal and vice versa, shedding their skin. Roksana Jędrzejewska-Wróbel has transformed the myth into a contemporary story with elements of magic realism about finding one’s own talent and discovering diversity. Albert is a great swimmer, Edwina not quite – how will this affect the siblings’ relationship and can the Old Mermaid help somehow?
